A peak inside the town of zard
This weekend was Open House London, and is the capital’s largest architectural showcase now in it’s 17th year. On Peter’s 2007 review (our accountant) Perry popped along to the Karl Marx Memorial Library in Clerkenwell. A library to Marxist & socialist writings and posters we were fascinated to be informed that Lenin actually worked from the office between 1902-03. Steve went to say hello to Boris at City Hall. Sadly no Boris pictures.
Wonderful afternoon at the Oval… so we’ve found an excuse to get this image out of the locker before the Aussie 2nd innings fightback… come on England!!
Crystal Palace that is! The fastest 100m witnessed by us at the Palace over the last 10 years of going along, saw Jamaican Usain Bolt run 9.91 secs for the 100m and then perform his little dance for the crowd. That was with a slow start & cruising the last bit of the race. Can Tyson get close in Berlin?
The Aviva World Trials & UK Championships took place last weekend at Birmingham Alexander Stadium. Having completed & delivered the event programme, we popped along on Sunday to view the action.
Congratulations to Moore 2 Rendells relay team that competed in the Man v Horse 2009 event in Wales last Saturday. Our picture shows 1 P J Rendell finding out that the other HJ Rendell has leg 1 to do!! Find out where they finished. Well done to Hannah & Gary.
Sorry we can’t not mention this, even on our zard blog! Congratulations Roger… even though it was 10 degrees in Paris last week when we went over it was an amazing day to see you play. All 4 slams, 14 titles… nothing left to prove!
In homage to the great Neville Brody, who’s face now adorns our creative wall, advertising the forthcoming D&AD New Blood Exhibition we thought it a jolly wheeze to post some look-a-likey pics of us in Mick’s currently unsold “Neville” silver jacket. Anybody appearing in the zard studio before said item has been sold on ebay may befall the same fate. Mehmet your up tomorrow!

The first UK Athletics programme of the season that Zard have designed & printed on behalf of sports marketing agency Fast Track is now on press. The first indoor event takes place up in Glasgow on Saturday 31 January 2009. 2 more events follow in the indoor season with more pictures of the team pretending to know what we’re doing being posted shortly!
