All aboard the Skyride

Mehmet is struggling today after using up all his energy at Skyride yesterday. He was one of the marshalls for 65,000 flourescent bibbed cyclists pedalling around the capital. We’re just trying to locate an image of him on the ride, to authenticate his achievement, but at least he can spend the whole day drinking hot chocolates! http://new.britishcycling.org.uk/skyride

Update to yesterday’s post… Mehmet has trawled the million pictures from Sunday and found himself nearing Embankment.

Open House in Clerkenwell

blog_karlmarx

This weekend was Open House London, and is the capital’s largest architectural showcase now in it’s 17th year. On Peter’s 2007 review (our accountant) Perry popped along to the Karl Marx Memorial Library in Clerkenwell. A library to Marxist & socialist writings and posters we were fascinated to be informed that Lenin actually worked from the office between 1902-03. Steve went to say hello to Boris at City Hall. Sadly no Boris pictures.

“It was 40-years-ago today…”

As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the photographing of the Fab Four crossing Abbey Road we learn that you can create (well nearly!) that iconic Beatles Abbey Road album cover with you and a little help from your friends… Abbey Road have a web cam on the actual crossing. We’ll be asking Steve to screengrab us on Thursday walking across it! www.abbeyroad.co.uk/visit/
